Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SweepPix (the “Software”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not download or use the Software.

2. Software License

SweepPix is provided free of charge. You may download, install, copy, and distribute the Software, subject to the following conditions:

  • You may not decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the Software
  • You may not remove or alter any copyright notice or trademark information in the Software
  • You may not resell the Software for commercial purposes
  • You may not use the Software for unlawful purposes

3. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your use of the Software and any consequences arising from it. When using SweepPix to remove photos, you should:

  • Carefully review photos before removing them to confirm that they are files you no longer need
  • Back up important photos in advance
  • Understand that Recycle Bin recovery depends on your system settings and whether the Recycle Bin has been emptied; SweepPix is not responsible for data loss caused by accidental removal

SweepPix asks for confirmation and moves deleted photos to the Recycle Bin, but you remain responsible for reviewing your selections. We recommend regularly backing up important photos.

4. Privacy and Data

SweepPix does not upload or store your photos or personal data for analysis. All photo processing happens locally. For details, please see our Privacy Policy.

5. Disclaimer

The Software is provided “AS IS,” without any express or implied warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • SweepPix makes no warranty as to the performance, accuracy, or reliability of the Software
  • SweepPix is not liable for any direct or indirect loss resulting from use of the Software, including data loss, lost profits, or business interruption
  • SweepPix does not guarantee that photo-analysis results are error-free; perceptual hash and blur-detection algorithms may produce false positives or false negatives
  • You should evaluate the Software's results independently and review them before removing photos

6. Intellectual Property

The intellectual-property rights in the SweepPix Software and all of its components, including its interface design, icons, text, and algorithms, belong to the SweepPix team. Third-party open-source components are subject to their respective licenses; see the Open-Source Licenses page for details.

7. Software Updates

The SweepPix team may release software updates at any time. Updates may include feature enhancements, bug fixes, or security patches. We recommend updating to the latest version for the best experience and security.

8. Changes to These Terms

The SweepPix team may modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the Software after a change means that you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be announced in advance on the official website.

9. Termination

You may stop using SweepPix and uninstall the Software at any time. After uninstallation, the Software does not retain persistent user data on your system.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising from these terms should first be resolved through friendly consultation. If no resolution is reached, either party may bring an action before a court with jurisdiction where the SweepPix team is located.
